1. What is auto storage? 

 Auto storage is a service that provides a secure place to keep your vehicles when they are not in use for an extended period. 

2. What types of vehicles can be stored? 

 Skyway Motorspace specializes in classic, exotics and luxury vehicles. 

3. How much does auto storage cost? 

 Prices vary based on desired package starting at $399 a month. 

4. What is the difference between indoor and outdoor storage? 

  • Indoor storage securely protects vehicles from weather and environmental damage. 

  • Outdoor storage is typically more affordable but exposes vehicles to the elements. 

5. Do you offer climate-controlled storage? 

Skyway Motorspace offers climate-controlled storage to protect vehicles from extreme temperatures, humidity, and moisture buildup. 

6. How secure is the storage facility? 

Skyway Motorspace  has interior and exterior 24/7 monitored surveillance cameras and alarms, access doors are pin and RFID access secure. 

7. Can I access my vehicle anytime? 

We are open Monday – Friday 9am-5pm Saturday 10am-1pm. We require a one hour notice to have your vehicle ready. If a wash or detail is requested we will need a 3 hour notice. Transportation will need to be scheduled 48 hours in advance and is on a first come, first serve basis.    

8. Will my battery stay charged in storage? 

 Long-term storage can drain a battery. Skyway Motorspace offers smart NOCO Genius battery tenders for optimal charging. 

 9. Do I need insurance for stored vehicles? 

 Skyway Motorspace requires proof of insurance, and it’s advisable to keep comprehensive coverage at all times. 

10. How long can I store my vehicle? 

 Storage can be short-term (weeks) or long-term (months to years), depending on your needs. 

11. Can I cancel my storage contract at any time? 

 Skyway Motorspace is month to month but we do require a written 30 day cancelation notice. 

 

Detailing FAQs 

1. What is automotive detailing? 

 Automotive detailing is a thorough cleaning of a vehicle, both inside and out, to achieve a showroom-quality appearance. 

2. How often should I get my car detailed? 

 It depends on your driving habits and environment, but typically every 3–6 months is recommended to maintain your car's condition. 

3. What is the difference between a car wash and detailing? 

 A car wash is a quick surface cleaning, while detailing involves deep cleaning and protecting both the interior and exterior. 

4. What does exterior detailing include? 

 Exterior detailing typically includes hand washing, waxing or light ceramic sealant on painted surface areas and cleaning of wheels, tires, and trim. 

5. How long does a full exterior detail take? 

 Depending on the condition of the car, it can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours. 

8. What is included in an interior detail? 

 Interior detailing includes vacuuming, conditioning leather, and cleaning the dashboard, door panels, and other surfaces. 

9. How much does car detailing cost? 

 Prices vary based on the service level, vehicle size, and condition, ranging from $119 for a basic wash to $400+ for full detailing. 

10. What is paint correction? 

 Paint correction is a process of removing swirl marks, light scratches, and hard water stains/etching through polishing and high speed buffing to restore the paint’s clarity. 

 11.What is the best way to protect my car’s paint? 

Ceramic coatings and paint protection film are the best, each have their own benefits for protection. 

12. What is a ceramic coating? 

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect its paint and enhance its appearance. When applied, it chemically bonds with the factory paint to create a permanent layer of protection from light scratches, UV damage and other natural occurrences. 

13. How long does a ceramic coating last? 

A professional-grade ceramic coating can last anywhere from 2 to 7 years depending on the amount of layers applied with proper maintenance. 

 14. What is paint protection film? 

Paint Protection Film is a polyurethane film, typically about 8mil in thickness, specifically designed to protect painted surfaces from road debris, rock chips, UV damage, tree sap, bugs, bird residue, hard water and light scratches.  

 15. How long does paint protection film last? 

A professional-grade paint protection film can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years depending on the amount of sun and heat the vehicle receives. 

 16. How can I maintain my car after detailing/ceramic coating/paint protection film? 

 Regular hand washing, avoiding automatic car washes, and using quality cleaning products will help maintain the detailing work. 

 17. Is waxing necessary if I have a ceramic coating and or paint protection film? 

 No, ceramic coatings provide long-term protection, but regular maintenance is still important. 

 18. Do I need to make an appointment for detailing/ceramic coating/paint protection film? 

Yes, all detailing services require an appointment. 

 

Transportation FAQs  

1. What is enclosed automotive transportation? 

 Enclosed automotive transportation is a service where vehicles are shipped in a covered trailer, protecting them from weather, road debris, and other external elements. 

2. How does enclosed transport differ from open transport? 

 Enclosed transport provides complete protection for your vehicle, while open transport exposes the vehicle to the elements. 

3. Who should use enclosed transport? 

 Enclosed transport is recommended for: 

  • Classic or antique cars 

  • High-value or rare cars. 

  • Luxury and exotic vehicles 

  • Vehicles with low ground clearance 

  • Owners who want extra protection 

4. How does the pickup and delivery process work? 

  • Arrange the service 48 hours in advance, you will be required to E-sign a release document.  

  • You will be given a one hour window of arrival based off your scheduled time. 

  • When the driver arrives at the desired destination, car must be fully accessible. 

  • Correct keys will be verified by driver at pick up/drop off.  

  • Driver will complete inspection form with photos prior to movement, noting any imperfections. Client will verify and sign inspection form. 

  • Driver loads the vehicle into an enclosed trailer with the RailRyder easy load system. 

5. How long does enclosed auto transport take? 

 Transit time varies depending on distance and route. 

6. Can I transport non-operational vehicles? 

No, vehicle must be fully operational to be transported and to be stored at Skyway Motorspace. 

7. Will my vehicle be covered by insurance? 

 Skyway Motorspace requires your vehicle to be insured at all times.  

8. How much does enclosed transport cost? 

 Pricing starts at $399 for up to a 40 mile round trip. 

9. Are there additional fees? 

Fees may be added if the client is late or does not arrive, vehicle is not operational or not physically able to be loaded due to location. Distance fees will be added on per mile, after the 40 mile maximum. 

10. What payment methods are accepted? 

 We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and also checks. 

11. How should I prepare my vehicle for transport? 

  • Remove personal items 

  • Document the vehicle’s condition with photos 

  • Provide necessary keys and insurance documents 

12. Do I need to be present for pickup and delivery? 

While it's recommended, you can authorize someone to act on your behalf. 

13. How secure is enclosed transport? 

 Enclosed trailers offer maximum protection, including soft straps, rail sliding winch system with a special lift gate for low-clearance cars.
